Putting a roof over an outdoor space takes more than standard deck framing. It demands deep footings, proper load paths, and secure structural tie-ins to your home’s existing rim joists. We handle the entire job start to finish. That includes ground prep, concrete footings poured below the frost line, structural posts, roof framing, shingle matching, and low-voltage electrical work for fans and overhead lights. Handling everything under one roof keeps timelines predictable and prevents expensive surprises halfway through the build.
HOW IT WORKS
How We Take Your Project from Draft to Done
On-site assessment and planning - We visit your home to check ledger attachment points, measure the yard, test ground slope, and talk through how you plan to use the space. This is where we work out the basic shape, roof style, and overall footprint.
Drawings, plans, and city permits - Our team draws up structural plans detailing post sizes, joist spacing, beam spans, and roof connections. We take these drawings to the city building department and pull all required construction permits for you.
Framing, roof tie-ins, and board placement - Crews dig footers past the local frost line, set heavy-duty support posts, frame the floor, and tie the roof structure into your home’s main framing. Once structural inspections pass, we lay down your choice of decking boards and finish the ceiling.
Final cleanup and municipal sign-off - We sweep the site, pick up stray hardware, schedule the city's final building inspection, and walk the finished space with you to make sure every board, trim piece, and light fixture meets our standards.
